Permalinks make it possible for you to connect your content internally from one place to another place documented elsewhere in Trainual. Take advantage of this awesome feature to save time with content creation and avoid repetitive information.

What is a permalink, and how would I use it?

A permalink is the full URL you see – and use – for any given page or piece of content on your Trainual account. It’s a "permanent link", hence the name permalink. πŸ˜„

For more context, let's say you create a step with a process that needs to be referenced in a different Subject. You can get the "permalink" for that step and insert it in the other Subject. When someone clicks on the link, a new browser tab will open with the linked content. That way, your teammates can easily navigate between the original step they are completing and the content it was linked with for referencing.

Find the permalink for a subject, topic, or step

  1. Click the 3-dot menu on the right-hand side of your subject, topic, or step.

  2. Click "Copy Link".

πŸ”Ή Subject

πŸ”Ή Topic

πŸ”Ή Step

πŸ”₯Tip: No matter where you move a subject, topic, or step in the future, the permalink will never change, which means this is one less thing to worry about updating. πŸ˜‰
