Notification Controls
Learn how to set which notifications your account sends out by default and which ones each user can customize.
Some notifications are mission critical for every teammate to receive, while others can be left to be customized person by person. Trainual lets you call the shots. ⛹️♀️
👉 Before you start:
- Notification controls are available on all Trainual plans — training suite or operations suite alike.
- Contact our support team if you need help with your subscription. 🤗
- Admins control the global, account-wide notification defaults. Users can then customize their own notifications, within whatever limits Admins have set.

FAQs:
If I assign training content, will that trigger an immediate "Assignments" notification?
Training content assignments won't trigger an immediate email notification automatically, but they will trigger immediate Slack and mobile app notifications. They'll also appear in those assigned teammates' daily round-up email. If you do need to send out an immediate update email, use the share changes feature.
Why can't I edit a notification category under the"My settings" page?
A greyed-out category under the "My settings" → "Notifications" tab means your Admin has decided to lock it company-wide, and notifications can't be individually set.
