Your annual plan automatically renews each year on your original billing date, using the **[card on file](https://help.trainual.com/en/update-your-payment-method?hsLang=en)**. **🔄 Subscription changes:** - *Cancellations* — If you cancel your Trainual plan during your billing cycle, your account remains active until your upcoming annual renewal date. After this date, your Trainual access will end, and you won't be charged again. - *Holds* — If you place your Trainual account on a [**temporary 3-month hold**](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/5581506-can-i-put-my-account-on-hold?hsLang=en), the monthly Hold plan fee starts immediately. Once this timeframe has passed, you will be auto-renewed back into your original plan and billing cycle. 📝 **Please note:** If you choose to [**cancel your account**](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/5605147-how-do-i-cancel-my-account?hsLang=en) rather than hold it, your data will be removed from our database entirely within 90 days of your cancellation date. --- ### Upgrade your annual plan: 📑 **Overview:** Easily boost your Trainual subscription type directly within the app to unlock additional features. **[Check out this guide](https://help.trainual.com/en/upgrade-your-trainual-plan?hsLang=en)** to see exactly how it works! 📝 **Please note:** When you upgrade your Trainual plan, the system will automatically credit any *unused* time from your current plan toward the new one, so you’ll only pay immediately for the prorated difference during this current billing cycle. --- ### Legacy accounts: 📜 **Overview:** Legacy accounts use subscription models we've retired. **🔄 Subscription notes:** - *Failed payments or cancellations on legacy plans* — If all payment attempts fail or you manually cancel your legacy account, we *won’t* be able to reactivate your account using a retired plan. You can still reactivate your previous Trainual account, but it must be done under one of our current plans. - *Adjusting seats* (*upgrade/downgrade*) — **[Seat](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/6038219-what-is-a-seat?hsLang=en)** adjustments *can’t* be accommodated within legacy plans. If you need to change your seat count, you must switch to one of our currently offered plans. 📝 **Please note:** Legacyaccounts will eventually be transitioned to one of our current plans. But don't worry, we send out notifications to **[Billing Admins](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/9242472-admin-vs-billing-admin-permission-overview?hsLang=en)** prior to changes. --- ### Hold plan agreement: 📃 **Overview:** The Hold plan is perfect if you want to temporarily pause your Trainual access but preserve what you've built out so far. **[See this guide](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/5581506-can-i-put-my-account-on-hold?hsLang=en)** for complete details. 📝 **Please note:** While your account is on hold, you'll have *no access* to the Trainual platform. This plan simply retains your full data and content progress for up to 3 months.
