      Trainual's AI Content Creation

      Learn more about saving time with training output by using AI-generated content.

      📝 Please note: This feature is currently in BETA. To enable this tool, toggle on the BETA setting under the "General" section of your account settings.


      Produce complete, well-structured content directly in your account using AI content creation, so you can go from ideas to published training faster than ever!


      👉 Before you start:

      • This feature is available under all Trainual plans when BETA features are enabled under the "General" section of your account settings. 
      • AI content creation is for document and page content at this time.
      • The information below is best suited for content creators. For more specifics around which areas of the account and pieces of content your employees can access, review their permissions and subject content access.

      AI content creation overview:

      Starting from scratch is overwhelming, so why not use AI content creation (AICC) instead? Quickly build or enhance content that matches Trainual's best practices.

      Let’s get into the how-tos. 👇

      Build new documents with AI content creation:

      1. Expand the "Content" options from the left-hand navigation menu.

      2. Select "All content."

      3. Click the "Create" button.
      4. Select "Document" from the drop-down.
      5. Choose the "Build for me" option from the pop-up window.



      6. Set the basics (audience, tone, length, and key details).



      7. Add the remaining information (content name, category, owner, etc.).
      8. Adjust the information as needed. 


      🔥 Tip: AICC is also accessible inside subjects at the document and page level.

      Enhance existing pages with AI content creation:

      AICC helps you add targeted material to strengthen existing training or completely rebuilds it for a fresh start.



      🔹 Overview — Adding new content vs. replacing a page

      Action: Why choose it? Considerations:
      ➕ Add new content

      Keep your current content, but add fresh material to it.

      Best for: Expanding training, inserting examples or FAQs.

      		 AICC doesn't use existing content when creating material.

      New AI content displays at the bottom of your content editor.
      🧱 Replace page Easily replace outdated or inconsistent information.

      Best for: Major overhauls, re-scoping, or new standards.      		 AICC doesn't use existing content when creating material.

      There’s also no “undo” with this AI flow. To revert or reference previous iterations, use version history

      🔹       How to add new page content

      1. Open a page to edit.

      2. Click the sparkles icon in the text editor.

      3. Choose "Add new content" from the pop-up window.

      4. Set your decision points (audience, tone, and length).

      5. Enter clear prompts. Think what successful key details are needed here?


      6. Hit the "Build for me" button to generate the content. 

      7. Adjust the information as needed.

      1. Open a page to edit.

      3. Choose "Replace page" from the pop-up window.
      4. Set your decision points (audience, tone, and length).

      6. Hit the "Build for me" button to generate the content.

      Balance speed with substance by turning good AI into great and pointed company documentation using these tips.

      • ✅ Do: Provide focused key details for your AICC to work from.
      • ✅ Do: Ask AICC to include specific examples, FAQs, visual placeholders, etc.
      • ❌ Don't: Rebuild if most of the page is correct. Use "Add to the page" instead.
      • ❌ Don't: Paste sensitive information unless it’s meant to live in Trainual.

       

      🔎 Check quality and accuracy
      Fact-check everything the AICC tool provided. Then, skim it all again like a new hire would to plug gaps, call out edge cases, and confirm it’s easy to follow.


      ✍️ Make it yours
      Turn placeholders into real visuals and use the vocabulary your team knows best. Add links where people need them and prioritize plain, easy-to-follow language.

      FAQs:


      Can I upload files into the AI content creator to guide what it's building? 
      Not yet, but this feature option is coming soon!


      Can I specify AI content creation formatting like bullet points and tables?
      We are currently using various formats to mirror what we consider “gold standard content.” Let us know if we are meeting the mark.


      Can AI content creation generate images?
      It will add placeholders where it suggests adding visuals, but it cannot create images at this time. We’re currently exploring this as a possible feature enhancement.


      How can I submit my feedback and ideas about features?
