π Before you start:
- All Trainual plans store the last 30 days of version history for free.
- Only Trainual+ plans track all-time version history β starting on the day you activate it. π Learn how to power up your playbook with Trainual+.
- Version history was released on December 10th, 2024. Changes made to content prior to that date will not have been stored or accessible.
- The information below is best suited for content creators. For more specifics around which areas of the account and pieces of content your employees can access, review their permissions and subject content access.

To see content version history:
- Navigate to a step.
- Locate and click the version history symbol in the right corner of the step textbox.
- Review the historical content log on the "Version history" menu to the right.
To restore a previous version of a step:
- Navigate to a step.
- Locate and click the version history symbol in the right corner of the step textbox.
- Review the history record on the "Version history" menu to the right.
- Select the version of your step you'd like to restore, then hit the "Restore" button.
π Please note: The restored step will remain in the same status it was prior to restoring unless otherwise updated.
FAQs:
When does a new version save?
- When a new step is created or while co-creating for the first time.
- Every 5 minutes.
- When leaving a step (unless no changes have been made in the last 5 minutes.)
π Please note: Version histories cannot be manually saved.
Does restoring a previous version affect teammate completion scores?
No. Completion scores will remain the same. If you do wish to reset or clear completions for people, please follow the directions on this help doc.
Does restoring a previous version remove or delete my current version?
No. All step history versions will be preserved, regardless of which version is selected as your displayed training.
Does restoring a version notify your team of changes?
No. If you need to notify your teammates about your updates, use share changes.
Can I see who made the changes on a version history record?
Not at this time, but it is a feature option we are looking to add in the future.
How can I submit my feedback and ideas about features?
