After you have created a Role in your Trainual account, you can add all of the Responsibilities of someone with that Role. Roles are the best way to communicate job-specific expectations to your teammates. Documenting Responsibilities in Trainual keeps your team accountable so that you won't be hearing...
π Adding a Responsibility:
Navigate to the People page on the left-hand navigation bar
Click Roles
Select a Role you want to edit
Click Add Responsibilities
List all duties or tasks that are expected of the person with this Role
*Choose from our suggested responsibilities or create custom responsibilities by typing them into the text box and pressing EnterClick Save to finalize the changes
Do these responsibilities cover everything for each teammate? Or are there extra Responsibilities you want to document and customize per teammate? You can add these too! β¬οΈ
β Additional Responsibilities for Individuals:
Navigate to a teammate's profile by clicking People on the left-hand navigation bar > then Manage > and select the person's profile
Click the Responsibilities tab
Check that Admin mode is toggled on
Locate the Other Responsibilities section and click into the text box
List additional duties or tasks that this specific person owns
Click Save when finished
This extra level of expectation setting is fantastic, but wouldn't it be cool if you could also add context for each Responsibility you've assigned by linking relevant Trainual content? How about linking information from your company's webpage? Or any other outside resource that provides more insight? Look no further than Responsibility links! β¬οΈ
π Adding a Link to a Responsibility:
Click the link button on the right-hand side of an assigned Responsibility
Paste your desired URL in the text box
Click Save
You can edit or remove a Responsibility link at any time. To do so, click the three dots on the right-hand side of a Responsibility and choose your desired action.
π₯ Pro Tip: Right-click on a Subject listed on the Roles page you're editing (found in the Subjects Assigned section) and select "Copy Link Address." This will make it easy to add a Subject link to a Responsibility from one view.
