By highlighting where attention is needed, they make follow-up simple and efficient. 🔎 **Completion nudge suggestions are triggered when:** - ⏰ [**Required training**](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/5608142-require-completion-of-subject#:~:text=note%3A%20If%20the-,%22Required%22%20box,-is%20not%20checked) is overdue. - 🗓️ Incomplete training is [**due in 7 days or less**](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/5600862-subject-due-dates#:~:text=Check%20the%20box%20for%20%22Set%20a%20due%20date%22%20and%20choose%20the%20number%20of%20days%20trainees%20will%20have%20to%20complete%20this%20training%20once%20it%27s%20been%20assigned.). - 💤  Incomplete training exists, and a user is inactive in Trainual for an extended period of time (the user login timeframes will vary based on your account's [**gamification frequency setting**](https://help.trainual.com/en/gamifying-trainual#set-company-streak).) **Each nudge includes a ready-to-edit email message** so you can personably reinforce training expectations to one or more users quickly.  With these criteria in mind, **follow the steps below to start using completion nudges**. 👇 --- ### Access, customize, and send out completion nudges: There are multiple places to access the completion nudge feature, depending on where you’re working in Trainual. The steps below cover where you can send nudges from and how to customize and send them.  **🔹 Step 1**  — **Access** completion nudges. The nudge feature can be found in the following places in Trainual:  1. [**AI assistant**](https://help.trainual.com/en/trainuals-ai-assistant?hsLang=en) (in-app notification only.) 2. [**People report**](https://help.trainual.com/en/reports#people-reports). 3. [**Content report**](https://help.trainual.com/en/reports#content-reports). 4. [**View/manage completions**](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/5905001-view-completion-percentages#h_bf0f35089b:~:text=To%20view%20subject%20assignee%20completion%20percentages%3A) (in content.) 5. [**Nudge suggestion emails**](https://help.trainual.com/en/completion-nudges#settings) (if your setting is on.) Hit the "**Send nudge**" **button** to push out your email notifications to all parties. Scroll down to the "**AI insights**" **section**. 4. **Select the users** you'd like to receive completion nudge suggestions about [**based on your permissions and access levels**](https://help.trainual.com/en/completion-nudges#permissions-and-access) in Trainual.  - My direct reports ([**reports to**](https://help.trainual.com/en/manage-users#:~:text=Birthday.-,Reports%20to.,-Schedule%20automatic%20archive) people management). - People in groups I manage ([**group managers**](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/9106194-group-manager?hsLang=en)). - Entire company ([**Admin+**](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/9242472-admin-vs-billing-admin-permission-overview?hsLang=en)). 5. Hit the "**Save**" **button** to apply your updates. 📝 **Please note:** If you do not wish to receive any completion nudge suggestions, simply toggle off this "AI insights" setting.  ![](https://help.trainual.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Feb-09-2026-10-17-44-6890-PM.png?width=670&height=49&name=image-png-Feb-09-2026-10-17-44-6890-PM.png) --- FAQs: ***Can recipients see other users included on a completion nudge send-out?*** Each user included as part of a completion nudge receives the message individually. Recipients *do not* see other users or managers included in the nudge. ***Why can’t I find a user to add to the completion nudge recipient list?*** Double-check if that user has [**already done their training**](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/5905001-view-completion-percentages?hsLang=en). You can't nudge people who are already at 100% completion. If you still need to send them a note about training, try using the [**share changes feature**](https://help.trainual.com/en/share-changes?hsLang=en) instead. ***Can the AI Assistant generate, send, or provide reports about completion nudges?*** Currently, the [**AI Assistant**](https://help.trainual.com/en/trainuals-ai-assistant?hsLang=en) provides completion nudge suggestions via a top navigation in-app notification, which can be used or snoozed for 24 hours. Additional interactive functionality is on our roadmap for future releases.  ***How often are completion nudge suggestion emails delivered?*** Completion nudge suggestion emails are automatically sent once a week on Mondays at 9:00 AM MST. ***How can I submit my feedback and ideas about features?*** If you'd like to share your thoughts about completion nudges or think of something else you'd like to see added in the future, send us your **[feature requests and ideas](https://help.trainual.com/en/articles/4113422-how-do-i-request-a-feature?hsLang=en)**. --- ### Learn more about training accountability: -
