(Step 1) Understand content organization in Trainual:



  1. Overview the main content types.
  2. Subjects will fall under company, policies, or processes content types.
    • The content page is where your repository of all the existing subjects in your account will be housed. Use it as a one-stop shop for content management β€” plus, view content by group, set the order of employee training, and more!
  3. Customize your page view.
    • It’s easy to rearrange your content page so you see only the focused content you need, when you need to see it.



(Step 2) Create your very first subject:


  1. A quick review of the content hierarchy level "subject."
    Subjects are the foundation of your content in Trainual. They help categorize and house information logically for your team.

  2. Add a new subject.
    • Go to the β€œContent” tab and click the β€œCreate subject” button.
    • Add a subject name and hit β€œCreate.”
  3. Outline your subject.
    • Break your subject down into topics and steps.
      • Remember how subjects are "just like books?" With that in mind, think of topics like chapter titles and steps as pages of content in those chapters!
      • Use this framework repeatedly to help you get comfortable with building out subjects in Trainual.
